The Datalogic Kyman tough handheld PC is engineered to survive rough environments & provide ergonomics that lower operator fatigue. A sturdy external cover with overmold protection ensures reliability & durability. It resists inhospitable environments, many drops, biting shocks, repeated tumbles & freezing temperatures. Description: This mobile PC is a standard-size handheld computer running Windows CE 5.0, Or Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional on a 520 MHz Marvell XScale PXA270 processor. Measurements are 3.5 Five x 9.3 Three x 2.2 Cm two with no the optional pistol-grip, the Kyman has a 240 x 320 pixel QVGA display with touch screen, weighs around 1.2-1.4 pounds, depending on configuration, offering both a 53-key full alphanumeric keyppad or a thirty-six numeric keys plus navigation keys, both with backlight. This makes the Kyman perfect for rapid data entry for field service automation, pickup & delivery, route accounting, meter reading, depot management and similar applications.

The Kyman can be acquired with a variety of data capture options, including RFID HF-ISO, a 2D Imager, a standard laser or an extra long range laser, making the unit able to read & translate a expansive range of symbologies. To make scanning easier, Datalogic equpped the Kyman with it’s patented “green spot” feedback that provides a “good read” green dot directly on the code.

The Kyman Wireless communication capabilities include Bluetooth & 802.11B/g Wi-Fi including the WPAA & WPA2 security protocols. Cisco Compatible Extensions (CCX) certification Version 3 provides access to all the benefits of Cisco WLAN infrastructure. There is also a SIM card slot, so the Kyman can support GSM/GPRS/EDGE voice & data communications.

Wired connectivity includes USB & 3-pin RS232 & Ethernet by way of cradle. Expansion is via an SD card slot.

As with most Datalogic mobile computers, the Kyman is tough & rugged, and is sealed to IP64 specifications, which means it’s dust-proof & can handle water spray from all directions. It can also endure drops of 6 feet (2 metres) on concrete, & operates within an extremely wide range from -4 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit.
